Asoftech Data Recovery 2.10

Asoftech Data Recovery is just another program that you can use to scan your partitions and recover files that were accidentally deleted. It comes with no special features, nor handy tools. For all that I know, Asoftech Data Recovery is very similar to other applications of this kind.

I wasn't impressed by this application, as it offers no configuration settings. The only things that you are permitted to change are the file formats you plan to recover. Its wizard-like interface could definitely get some design improvements. On the other hand, it proved to be efficient when going through the necessary steps of recovering deleted files. You just need to select the partition to be scanned, select the folder where the recovered files will be saved and click on the Scan button.

The scanning process took longer than I was expecting, even if the partition capacity was not that high. It should be mentioned that Asoftech Data Recovery supports NTFS, FAT16, FAT32 file systems, and other storage devices, as well.

To end on a not so negative note, Asoftech Data Recovery is recommended for beginners that need to recover a bunch of lost photos or documents.
